Once training is complete in the partner schools, the mentoring begins. The three year collaborative program involves: team teaching, learning walks, modelled lessons, constructive feedback and ongoing professional insets.
We conduct schools visits to assess the starting point of each school and also to establish relationships between staff and Hope Teachers. These visits allow us to create tailor made training courses i collaboration with the partner schools.
We carefully select schools from within the same community. We target low achieving schools who have a high drop out rate.
Our partner school are trained by 'Hope Teachers,' who have been selected for their wealth of knowledge of: Pedagogy, early child development & education systems. 'Hope Teachers' Conduct a week long training course so partner schools can create a positive learning environment.
Having completed the three year course, selected partner school teachers will become 'Hope Teachers', who continue the cycle of partnering, training, mentoring and handover.

VISIONS OF HOPE
We are passionate about education!
-Education creates opportunities for children to have a choice in life. At the heart of our ethos is a belief that developing the developing world begins with enhancing the quality and standard of education choices for the next generation. Through international partnership with teaching professionals in the developing world we work to bridge the gap between their children's educational needs & their present limited resources.
The current school system in Uganda is based on one style of teaching, repeat after me. This repetitive form of education means children are not equipped with skills or the ability to think critically nor creatively. In Ugandan classrooms it is common to see children really struggling and bored, with teachers unable to solve these problems. Unfortunately, this has lead to high drop out rates from children and worst of all children leaving primary school without the ability to read, write or perform simple mathematics.
Hope teachers are Ugandan teachers on a mission to become the best possible teachers they can be to dramatically change the status quo for Ugandan children. They are dedicated to ongoing professional development so they learn how to bring the absolute best out of their leaners and prepare them for bright future.
